Asheville based national marketing & public affairs firm which exclusively represents socially/environmentally responsible corporations, has one opening for a Green Event Production Assistant.



This internship involves the coordination of several outreach and partnership projects for to the world's largest residential green building conference. Projects include logistical coordination, direct community outreach, data mining and research.



Tasks & Responsibilities include:



1. Research innovative green technology, green building products and community solutions relevant to target audience and organize outreach partnership dialogues with each.



2. Work with team to manage on-site logistics and personnel.



4. Organize environmentally focused media and other progressive national news organizations around interactive space and subsequent party to be cohosted by WorldChanging.



5. Support project team with grassroots outreach and general event coordination needs.



Internship Requirements



Applicants must be U.S. CITIZENS pursuing a baccalaureate or higher degree in a relevant field to workload described at an accredited college or university throughout the United States, OR, demonstrate reasonable career or life-goals motivations for participation in internship program.



Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook; experience and understanding of search engine research; and excellent communication skills are required. 16 hrs per week with flexible hours to be determined by intern, between 9 am and 7 pm in downtown Asheville office. Commuting permitted with weekly office meetings.



Internship period: August 12 - October 5th, 2007

Schedule: 16 hrs per week, hours flexible

Compensation: $75 per week

Commendation: Letters of commendation/completion will be provided

DS Credits: We will coordinate and report to your institution of higher learning for any necessary degree credits.
