this two day workshop will teach you how to build a drystone (no mortar) foundation for an antique log cabin. the site is in mars hill, nc, 20 min. north of asheville. joe dinwiddie will teach you site excavation, stone selection, stone chiseling, and placement of the stones to construct the piers that will serve as the foundation for the cabin. joe apprenticed for 4 years in kentucky and has been doing drystone work for the last seven years. come and learn the lost art of drystone! you can find out more info about joe at
