Outreach Coordinator - Part Time

PURPOSE OF POSITION; A sales and Service Position that coordinates and executes educational outreach service model to build awareness of RFB&D services and increase utilization of these services. There is frequent travel, with occasional overnight stays. Coordinator will be responsive to educators’ needs for training. Sales efforts, planned and executed in coordination with State Outreach Director, include calling on non-member schools while serving existing members in the same area, or calling on non-member schools in areas where RFB&D has no existing memberships.
PRIMARY POSITION OBJECTIVES
1. Increase utilization of RFB&D services through a comprehensive program of outreach to public and private schools and individuals with print disabilities.
STANDARD: Number of new registered members in territory increased in accordance with Unit Goals, with renewals at minimum of 85%.
2. Increase RFB&D’s visibility in the professional educational community at conferences and seminars, in publications, meetings and other appropriate venues.
STANDARD: 5 organizations contacted annually; Unit represented at 5 local conferences per year. Quality leads collected and integrated into service plan. Funding leads forwarded to State Outreach Director.
3. Assist members with inquiries regarding services; serve as local member service representative for schools, teachers and students participating in outreach projects. Work to resolve satisfaction issues. Execute Educational Outreach Service Model.
STANDARD; Local members served and local issues responded to in a timely manner. Service model implemented for member satisfaction and retention.
4. Develop and maintain database of local organizations, members and resources. Assist State Outreach Director in submitting timely reports on all activity in local area. Additional reporting as requested by the State Outreach Director.
STANDARD: Outreach database maintained and updated monthly. Grant activity reported in a timely fashion. All requested reports submitted on time to State Outreach Director.
5. Forward leads to State Outreach Director regarding potential funding opportunities. Assist in collecting support letters for grants, and submit letters to State Outreach Director for processing by the Grant Team.
STANDARD: Leads forwarded in a timely manner. Grant support documentation forwarded in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• College degree required.
• Experience in education, special education, and/or marketing of human services highly desirable.
• Good communication skills, computer skills, presentation skills critical; understanding of public school education desirable.
• Knowledge of learning disabilities helpful.
• Automobile and ability to travel required.
• Highly motivated
• Self starter
